Escapade is a creative study into why a specific fabric in a classic silhouette is used for different activities. More specifically, how can the benefits and design detail change what we accomplish each day? What about the items we carry around each day to make those tasks possible? Fabrics included in each corresponding silhouette are a pertex, waxed cotton, and E-vent backed nylon.
This MTB project explores the apparel needs for men who bike hard all weekend and then head over to the brewery to get a beer with their crew! Consideration of the side cargo pocket and direction of dart fullness resists snags from tree limbs and branches. The combination of lifestyle and technical mountain details define these pieces and necessities for him. Reflective sew-ins also allow the tech top to be used in a urban road ride.
Reebok apprenticeship application project focusing on lifestyle outerwear for women. Inspiration from the heritage of the women’s aerobics fitness movement, as a way to “Ree-Tone Outdoors”. Nomad-Tech is about taking inspiration from Nomadic-inspired elements such as wooly materials and silhouettes and combining them with high tech design needs and qualities such as transparent ripstop. My inspiration came from the modular storage cart above in yellow and the strap construction from skydiving suits. The modular concept in the cart translated into modular apparel, which attaches and detaches from the shoulder to create a mobile storage unit. I executed the jacket above in orange as a continuing concept from this project and it was incorporated into my final thesis collection. Hand sketches were executed in Milan, Italy.
